MAG-ASO TWIN WATERFALLS IN BOHOL

Bohol has been blessed with Nature’s most wondrous treasures. One of them is Mag-Aso Falls, which is located right within the municipality of Antequera. It is roughly 30 minutes away from Tagbilaran City, traveled through by land. Aside from Mag-Aso Falls, Antequera has also been blessed with caves that are quite interesting to explore.

Mag-Aso Falls is about 25 feet tall. It is situated on a nice backdrop of lush greens composed mainly of towering trees. The site is also quite virgin as its many different portions are preserved to its natural form. The sound of chirping birds, swaying trees, and cascading waters are truly a treat, especially for adventurers who had been used to the metro lifestyle.

The Mag-aso Falls is one of Bohol’s natural treasures.  The twin falls is picturesque against a backdrop of tall trees, wild plants including giant ferns, and deep ravines. Once on the site, while bathing and surrounded by the natural landscape, one feels immersed in a middle of a jungle with the sound of the interminable chirping of the birds and the rush of flowing waters playing music to your ears.

Mag-aso falls is located in the heart of antequera, bohol. From Tagbilaran city, the province capital, there are buses and jeepneys that ply the tagbilaran-antequera route. In antequera, tricycles and motorcycles are available to bring tourists near the falls.

The surrounding area of the falls had been turned into a 'tourist-friendly' destination, with 197 concrete steps leading down towards the falls. though the concrete steps may be a disappointment for adventure-seekers hoping to see an unexploited natural attraction, still, mag-aso falls is a sight that one shouldn't pass up.
